Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of the most meaningful seasons in a life and it is always such an honor to document those first quiet days with a client. This beautiful in-home newborn session in Sussex County, NJ was filled with the sweetest moments. Snuggles on the couch, tiny fingers wrapped around mom and dad’s hands, and a proud big sister who couldn’t stop checking on her new baby.


In-home newborn sessions are some of my favorite sessions to photograph because they completely focus on real connection and genuine moments.. Instead of a studio setup, everything happens right in the comfort of your home where your family naturally relaxes. The nursery, the family bed, the living room couch — the spaces you spend every day with your newborn.


One of my favorite parts of this session was watching big sister step into her new role. At four years old, she was full of curiosity and excitement. She gently held the baby, peeked into the bassinet, and proudly showed me around the house. Those sibling moments are always some of the most meaningful images from a newborn photography session and personally are my favorite!


In-home newborn sessions are designed to be calm and easy for parents. There’s no rushing out the door or worrying if the baby will sleep. We follow the baby’s pace — pausing for feeding, diaper changes, and plenty of cuddles. The result is a gallery that feels authentic and timeless.
