hi, I’m Shelby!
I'm a wife and mama to two little ones — a wild 3-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl. I am so thankful God blessed me with them and as a result of that completely changed my life. Like most moms, I just want to freeze time and hold onto these sweet, fleeting moments. That is ultimately what led me to create this business. Watching my firstborn grow so quickly tugged at my heart, and it made me realize just how fleeting the years really are.
One day I decided to pick up my old camera from high school just to play around with it and I fell in love with how a beautiful, heartfelt photo could make me feel — like I could truly freeze a moment and hold onto it forever. I realized I could also give other moms this gift and that is where my passion for photography began. While my passion in this business started for mamas and their littles, overtime that love for capturing connection has grown. I feel so grateful to capture every kind of meaningful season and love in its many forms.
I created Shelby Anne Photography because I know how deeply these moments matter. I want you to have it all captured, beautifully and honestly.
a few things to know
IF YOU HAVE LITTLE ONES
If you have small children, they will be my focus from the very beginning and will have plenty of my attention throughout our session. My goal is to take the pressure off of Mom and Dad and help your kids feel comfortable, engaged, and excited to be there. I firmly believe that when they’re having fun.. the natural, genuine moments happen so much more easily.
So leave it to me, and just know that your photographer has two wild children of her own, so I fully expect a few bumps & wiggles and unexpected moments along the way.

IF YOU ARE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA

If you’re already thinking about how awkward you are and feel like you couldn’t “pose” to save your life, you are in very good company. I will guide you through the entire session and help you feel comfortable every step of the way. I’ll give you prompts that feel natural and sometimes even funny or weird... which is usually when the best, most genuine smiles happen. You don’t need to know what to do with your hands, how to stand, or how to “look natural.” I promise! You just show up as you are, and I’ll take care of the rest.
