There is something special about a wedding day that is intimate and intentional. A day spent surrounded by the people who know you best and love you most. A day that feels less about putting on a big celebration for everyone else and more about simply being together and beginning this next chapter as husband and wife.
This beautiful courthouse wedding was exactly that.
The day began at the courthouse, where the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family members. After their ceremony, we spent some time capturing just the two of them and taking in a few quiet moments together as newlyweds. From there, we headed to their restaurant celebration, where more family and friends joined together to continue celebrating their big day. Their two young boys were a huge part of the day, bringing so much personality, energy, and fun to the celebration. There were plenty of sweet moments and so many memories being made together as a family of four.
What I loved most about this wedding was how personal the entire evening felt. I had the chance to spend time with their family, get to know them, and witness the love they share—not just as a couple, but as a family. The day was beautiful, but it was the little moments in between that made it so meaningful.
By the end of the evening, the mother of the bride gave me the biggest hug goodbye, and it was such a sweet moment.
This is one of the parts of photography I love most. It’s not just about capturing the big moments, but also the connections made along the way. Getting to spend the day with a couple and their family, hearing their stories, and being welcomed into such an important chapter of their lives is something I never take for granted.
